2. Vectors
3. Uniformly Accelerated motion
4. Projectiles
5. Basics concepts of simple harmonic motion (S.H.M.)
6. Applications of simple Harmonic motion
7. Force and equilibrium of particles/concurrent forces
8. Equilibrium of rigid / coplanar forces centre of gravity and stability
9. Equilibrium of bodies in fluids – upthrust, Archemetes and floatation principles

SECOND TERM SCHEME OF WORK FOR PHYSICS SS2

1. Force momentum and Newton’s laws of motion
2. Application of Newton’s laws’ resultant forces and acceleration.
3. Simple machines
4. Pressures in fluids
5. Heat capacity
6. Latent heats
7. Practical effects of state changes:

Melting, evaporation, vapour pressures, boiling and humidity.

• Expansion of Gases and gas laws

THIRD TERM SCHEME OF WORK FOR PHYSICS SS2

1. Rectilinear propagation of light and reflection of light at plane surface
2. Reflection by curved mirrors
3. Refraction of light at plane boundaries
4. Refraction and image formation by lenses
5. Technological application of lenses: Optical instruments
6. Basic concepts and propagation of wave motion
7. Musical sounds: Waves in string and pipes
8. The wave equation: Physical properties of waves.
