Legislature is the arm of government made up of elected persons, whose main responsibility is to make laws for the citizen.
Types of Legislature
There are two types of legislature:
- Unicameral legislature
- Bi-Camera legislature
Unicameral legislature: is the existence of one legislative chamber in a country. It is a situation whereby there is only one legislative house that makes law.
Bi-Camera Legislature : is the type of legislature with two legislative houses in a country. E.g Nigeria practices Bi-Cameral legislature which comprises of senate or upper house and house of representatives known as the lower house.
