The Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) has given Babcock University permission to begin six (6) new undergraduate academic programs that would result in the awarding of bachelor’s degrees in science and engineering. These programs will begin with the 2022–2023 academic session.
The new schools are the School of Environmental Studies and the School of Engineering.
These are the new academic programmes that have been introduced: 1, Architecture; 2, Estate Management; 3, Electrical and Electronics Engineering; 4, Mechanical Engineering Engineering; 5, Civil Engineering Engineering; and 6, Computer Engineering Engineering.
The NUC also granted the University’s request to begin Postgraduate Diploma and Master’s Degree programmes in Social Work.
Babcock University was the first private university in Nigeria to open its doors in 1999, and it has continually provided seamless academic activities and a suitable learning atmosphere.
It now contains two colleges, eleven schools, and a Teaching Hospital (BUTH).
