In a recent update from the National Examination Council (NECO), Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, has assured the approximately 1.3 million candidates currently participating in the Senior Secondary School Examination (SSCE) that their results will be available within a span of three weeks.
This assurance was provided during his visit to Yola, Adamawa State, where he was inspecting the ongoing examination process.
Speaking on the matter, Prof. Wushishi stated, “Once the examination concludes, we will promptly commence the marking process. Hence, it is anticipated that within approximately two to three weeks, we will complete the marking, ensuring that the results are ready for release.”
With September 29, 2023, just two weeks away from today, candidates can expect to access their results on or before that date, as affirmed by the NECO Registrar.
Furthermore, Wushishi disclosed NECO’s plans to transition the objectives component of the examination to a computer-based format. This significant shift is part of the Council’s broader strategy to combat examination malpractice and forgery while striving to meet global educational standards.
In essence, NECO is not only committed to delivering timely results but is also actively embracing modern innovations to enhance the credibility and quality of its examinations, reflecting a dedication to providing a world-class educational assessment experience for all candidates.
