The Ekiti State Government Scholarship offers financial assistance to students pursuing higher education, from undergraduate to postgraduate level.
Eligibility for the Scholarship Awards
To be eligible for the Ekiti State Government Scholarship Award, applicants must fulfill the following criteria:
- Must be in at least their second year of study.
- Should hold a WASSCE/NECO certificate with a minimum of five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in a single sitting.
- University students must maintain a minimum CGPA of 4.0 or its equivalent, while polytechnic and NCE students must have at least a 3.50 CGPA.
For postgraduate applicants, a Second Class Upper Division at the undergraduate level is required for master’s programs, and Ph.D. candidates must have achieved a distinction in their master’s degree. A letter of recommendation from the Head of Department is also necessary.
Additionally, students with disabilities attending universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, or schools of nursing/midwifery may apply for the Handicapped Scholarship Award.
Part-time and Sandwich students are not eligible for this scholarship.
Eligibility for the Bursary Awards
All students enrolled in undergraduate programs at universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and health institutions are qualified to apply for the Ekiti State Government Bursary Award.
How to Apply
Eligible students can obtain free application forms from the Ekiti State Scholarship Board, located at the New Secretariat, Ado-Ekiti.
Alternatively, students can submit their applications online via the official portal of the Ekiti State Scholarship Board.
Application Deadline
The application window opens on 1st September and closes on 31st October, 2024.
Late submissions will not be considered, so ensure you apply within the specified timeframe.
